Performances will be at the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West, Cobourg
Rehearsal Dates
Each week, starting Sunday, November 2nd;
- Fridays - 6:30pm to 9:30pm
- Sundays - 1:30pm to 6:00pm
Tech Week
Cast and crew will be required evenings during the 2 weeks leading up to opening night. A schedule will be finalized closer to the date.
About the Show
Inspired by the acclaimed 1997 teleplay starring Brandy and Whitney Houston, this version of the magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm, and elegance. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, this romantic fairytale warms hearts.

This production is committed to fostering a safe and welcoming space for our theatre group to audition, rehearse, and perform. It is essential that everyone feels comfortable and respected throughout the entire process. If you have any concerns or conflicts, please let us know in advance so we can work together to find a solution.
Casting
This show features an ensemble cast with specific attributes for each character that are crucial to the script. Casting decisions for this production will be subjective and can be influenced by factors like age, appearance, height, and overall look and feel of the entire cast.
Please note that there is no predetermined race or ethnicity for characters.
We welcome all actors of any gender identity or expression, race, or ethnicity to audition.
You may not get cast in the role you wanted and you might not be cast at all. Be proud of your efforts and please consider being part of this show in another way. This magical show will need assistance in turning pumpkins to carriages and mice into footmen, please let us know if you have any interest in these aspects of our production.
Audition Registration
Complete the Audition Registration by filling out the Google Form. Auditions will be scheduled in 30 minute intervals, with 3 auditions per timeslot. Once registered, you will receive confirmation via email of your scheduled time and day. Time slots will be assigned on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please come at least 5 minutes early!

Preparing for your Audition
Please come to your audition prepared to sing a Broadway-style song. Choose a song you are comfortable with and that is within your vocal range. Ensure your song is between 45 seconds to 2 minutes. You may also be asked to sing small excerpts of songs from the show with the Vocal Directors. Auditions may also consist of cold readings from the script.
