About the Victorian Operetta Society

Drawing on a highly talented membership of actors, musicians, dancers, and singers from across Northumberland County, the VOS is a vibrant community theatre group which has been presenting professional quality entertainment at Victoria Hall in Cobourg since 1990.

Our productions are a delight to the senses... beautiful music performed by a live orchestra, delightful sets, elegant costuming and attention to detail usually found only in high-cost professional theatre.

The VOS has a long-standing and strong tradition of providing talented local youth with ample opportunity to learn all facets of stagecraft from established core of knowledgeable and nurturing older members.

We also provide bursaries to local high school graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in theatre arts.
