30^th Anniversary Gala

It’s been 30 years since VOS THEATRE (Victorian Operetta Society) produced their first show and that’s something to celebrate! We want all members, volunteers and patrons, whether your last show was in 2000 or 2019, to consider celebrating an organization that has brought people together for over 3 decades.

A beautiful 3 course meal (vegetarian choice available) with a scrumptious dessert.

AFTER DINNER THERE’S AN AWARDS SHOW!

An Awards show theme (think The Tony’s) will allow us a look back and remember the last 30 years. We’re not taking ourselves THAT seriously. There will be the run of the mill categories like Best Musical but we’ll also celebrate our funniest slips and errors too!

HOW WE’LL CHOOSE THE WINNERS

You will have a part in the retrospective. Coming soon to your inbox (and on our website) you’ll find a survey that will help us set the nominees for the awards. Even if you cannot attend please vote. Those votes will be tallied and a second ballot will be emailed with the nominees. You help vote the winners in our categories to the stage!

We will make every effort to email all current and previous cast, band, volunteers and board members but if you want to be sure you’re included, send your name and email address to theatre@vostheatre.com.

We’ll ask some of you to present awards, some of you to perform and all of you to sit back and enjoy a fabulous meal and entertainment. You might even get your photo taken with a previous Tony Award winner or take home a statue.

STYLIN’

We are encouraging Black Tie because we think it will be fun for photos on the red carpet and make it a special event. Watch for information here and on Facebook about a date that the Henley Arcade will be open to get a tux (or gown) fitted. No rental fee. We ask only that you dry clean your item prior to returning. If you’re not comfortable in formalwear arrive in anything that says “celebrate”.

The value of the evening is $100 per ticket but the Board of the VOS is subsidizing each ticket as a thank you to members and volunteers. We understand that $50 might well be cost prohibitive for students and those on a fixed income. We don’t want you to miss the evening due to the cost.
